"We take an extended vacation in the Boone/Banner Elk/Blowing Rock area every year, so we've stayed in a wide variety of homes. I have to say this house is my personal favorite of all of them. Everything about it was/is terrific. The location is IDEAL ; it's in the middle of the entire area. The home is well laid out with comfortable bedrooms, living areas, and a quality kitchen. The outdoor space was extremly well cared for and large enough for us to enjoy with our dog beyond the fenced-in area, even when I had to take her out at night. The decks enabled us to hang out and enjoy our morning coffee and late-night drinks. The in-home amenities ensured that there was never a dull moment, even if the rain lasted all day. It was simply a spectacular place."

"This is our third stay at The Flathouse and I’m looking forward to many more. The house is always spotless and well stocked. The yard is large, attractive and our 2 little terriers love playing ball back there. There are 3 other private homes on the driveway and they have always been very nice to us. We make sure to keep the dogs quiet and respect the neighborhood. We love The Flathouse!!"

"We just recently spent 3 nights in Make Yosef at Home, and this cabin is just phenomenal! We had 5 adults, 2 teenagers, and a 7 year old, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Everything was great - the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pans, dishes - anything you could need. The giant great room with the high ceilings and fireplace was just so inviting and wonderful. Having 3 bedrooms, each with a king bed made sleeping comfortable for the couples. The bunk bed room downstairs was SO COOL and honestly - that is what my 7 year old was looking forward to the most! The outdoor area took the cake. The TV outside with the comfy furniture next to the propane fire pit was so great - we spent every night out there watching football and keeping warm. The large deck with the fenced in area for our dog allowed us to relax with piece of mind that he wouldn't get out. And the firepit was great for roasting marshmallows. Oh, and the Make Yosef at Home koozies that were waiting for us in the kitchen upon check in were awesome - such a nice touch that I have not seen anywhere else. This cabin was clean and just beautiful. We really enjoyed our time there and were ecstatic to find a place so close to Grandfather Mountain Vineyard, which is our favorite place to go while in town. We appreciate you sharing this beautiful home with us - we are already searching our calendars to find another time when we can visit. I doubt we will ever stay anywhere else.
